This notice is active from 2026-10-08.
This version took effect on 2026-10-08. It describes the storage and identifiers used on tinroofco.com as it operates today for people looking for metal roofing Austin, roof leak repair Austin and related work. The date is not a promise that a browser, advertising platform or mail system stores information in one particular way forever; it is the date of this site notice.
Changes are recorded by updating the version and effective date here. The page remains available without accepting optional storage. A visitor can read the notice before sending a roofing inquiry.
Storage is split by the job it performs.
Strictly necessary storage keeps a visitor's choice available and supports the public page and its controls. It does not buy anything, create an account or take payment. The site is inquiry-only: a person asking about a metal roofing contractor Austin sees the page and can contact the crew without a cookie wall.
Analytics storage helps measure site use when the visitor allows it. Advertising storage and related signals support paid traffic from Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads when the visitor allows those uses. These categories are kept separate in the consent decision rather than hidden under one vague button.
- Strictly necessary: consent state and the functions needed to make the page and chat controls usable.
- Analytics: analytics_storage after permission, for understanding visits and page performance.
- Advertising: ad storage and related consent signals for campaigns and their click identifiers.
The storage register names the key, owner and clock.
The following table describes the browser keys and identifiers relevant to this site. A campaign identifier may arrive in a URL even when optional storage is denied; the consent decision controls whether optional advertising or analytics storage is used.
| Name | Who sets it | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
site_consent_v2 | Tin Roof Co. | Stores the visitor's allow or decline choice so the banner does not ask on every page. | 12 months |
gclid | Google Ads | Identifies a Google Ads click so campaign traffic can be understood under the selected consent settings. | Arrives in the campaign URL; optional storage follows consent |
msclkid | Microsoft Advertising | Identifies a Microsoft Advertising click and its campaign source. | Arrives in the campaign URL; optional storage follows consent |
fbclid | Meta Ads | Identifies a Meta Ads click where a campaign runs there. | Arrives in the campaign URL; optional storage follows consent |
| Chat token | Tin Roof Co. | Lets the support chat return to the visitor's conversation in the same browser. | Chat transcripts are kept 18 months |
| Session and security storage | Site server | Supports a usable request and protects the inquiry endpoint from misuse. | Session or server-log period, as applicable |
The chat token is not an advertising profile. It connects a visitor to their support chat so a later message can be appended. Chat fields are handled under the privacy disclosure for chat.
Paid clicks carry a source identifier.
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send traffic here today. The identifiers are gclid for Google Ads, msclkid for Microsoft Advertising and fbclid for Meta Ads. The required paid-click set is gclid, msclkid, fbclid, google ads. In a campaign URL, those values help identify which paid click brought a visitor to a page about roof leak inspection Austin or standing seam metal roof repair Austin.
An identifier in a URL is not a promise of a result, a quote or a platform review. Tin Roof Co. does not claim that any advertising platform has reviewed, approved or verified this site. A visitor may use the page, call +1 (801) 555-6106 or write to office@tinroofco.com without allowing optional storage.
Consent Mode v2 starts with four denied signals.
Consent Mode v2, also called consent mode here, holds ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage denied until the visitor allows storage. The four consent mode signals are ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage, consent mode. The site sets all four back to denied the moment the visitor declines or withdraws consent. This is the default state before a choice is made.
Global Privacy Control, including the Sec-GPC header, is honoured as an opt-out without asking again. The controls do not prevent access to the roofing information or the inquiry route.
Allow or decline from the banner, then change it from the footer.
On a new visit, the cookie banner offers Allow and Decline. The page is not blocked while a decision is pending. Choosing Allow permits the optional categories described here. Choosing Decline leaves optional storage denied.
To change or withdraw the choice afterwards, select Cookie choices in the legal row at the bottom of any page. That control opens the choice banner again. A browser's own storage controls can also remove site_consent_v2; after removal, the site asks for a fresh choice. Withdrawal does not erase an already submitted inquiry, which follows the retention and request rules in Privacy, Consent & Data Requests.
Nothing to calculate. The site does not offer a cookie estimator, a price calculator or a payment flow. Read, choose, then ask about the actual roof.
Send a roofing inquiryDeclining optional storage leaves the useful parts working.
If a visitor declines, the page content, keyboard navigation, footer links, contact details and inquiry form still work. The support chat can still be started with the consent required by its own form. The server can receive the inquiry fields that a visitor deliberately submits.
Optional analytics storage does not start. Advertising and analytics signals are set back to denied. A visitor may still arrive from Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising or Meta Ads, and a campaign identifier may still be visible in the address while optional storage remains off. Declining does not remove the paid landing page or prevent a roof leak repair Austin request.
